Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of Choice.

Success is a journey, not the destination.

Historical houses aged over 120 years still remain at Kawagoe Ichiban-gai street in #Saitama.

Kawagoe Ichiban Gai Street, which is lined with kurazukuri (warehouse style) buildings, is about a 10-minute walk away from Hon-Kawagoe Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
With the contribution of the residents who wanted to preserve the townscape in 1999, the street was designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings of Japan by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.

Among them, the Osawa family's house was constructed way back in 1792.
It is popularly known with its Edo period atmosphere where it's bustling with people coming to shop for everyday products as well as gift items, Japanese style dinnerware and yes, you guessed it right - food! You've got to try the "jinrikisha" (rickshaw) sightseeing services if you fancy a ride in town.

30 minutes from Tokyo by train. You'll be able to see the traditional and authentic side of Japan in Kawagoe which can't be seen in Tokyo.
