Katsuren jō site in #okinawa.

#Okinawa Post 3. (World Heritage Site).
Katsuren Castle (勝連城跡) was the residence of Amawari, a powerful lord who until the very end resisted the authority of the king of the Ryukyus.

It is a place of scenic beauty and varied angles, and this castle has a view of the northern mountainous area surrounding Kin Bay.
From there, you can see the outlying islands of Uruma city to the north, and Chinen Peninsula, Kudaka island and the Nakagusuku castle ruins (or Gosamaru's Castle) to the south.
The castle is positioned 60 to 98 meters above sea level and with its limestone walls built seamlessly into the geographical features surrounding the site.
Address : 3908, Katsurenhaebaru, Uruma-shi, Okinawa.
